2010 ASBE Call for Papers

The Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ASBE) invites you to submit competitive papers, cases, and workshop proposals for our Fall Conference at the Stockyards Hotel located in the National Historic District in Fort Worth, Texas.

ASBE Group rate of $129.00 per night.
This rate applies for rooms October 5-7.
The rate for October 8 is $219.
Please note that the Conference rate
expires September 6, 2010.

Reservation Procedures: Individuals call Stockyards Hotel 1-800-423-8471 or 817-625-6427 and request the ASBE group rate.

Check in time: 3:00 p.m.
Check out time: 12:00 p.m.

Valet parking is $10 per night. The Stockyards Hotel is located approximately 35 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Deadline for receipt of competitive paper submissions to be considered for
Best Paper Award is July 15, 2010.

Paper Submission Instructions:

Any paper that has been presented previously or is scheduled for another presentation will be rejected. Panels, Symposia, and Small Business Institute type cases shall also be considered. Panels and symposia may be up to 5 pages in length.

ASBE will publish all successful papers in the Proceedings for the Fall Meeting. Authors will be provided with manuscript preparation instructions subsequent to acceptance of their papers for the conference.

BEST PAPER.
The Best Paper selection is automatically submitted to the Journal of Business & Entrepreneurship to be considered for publication.

BEST REVIEWER. The best reviewer shall also be recognized with an award based upon the developmental nature of their reviews, timeliness, and completeness.

1. Competitive papers should be typed, double-spaced and not exceed 20 pages in length, exclusive of references and appendices. Electronic submission is required.
2. A separate title page should include the title of the paper, name(s), affiliation(s), and full contact information for all authors.
3. The body of the paper should contain a second cover page without any author identification.
4. A 150-word abstract with no author identification should be placed on the third page
5. Submitted papers shall not have been published previously
6. At least one author of the paper shall join ASBE, register for and attend the meeting and personally present their paper at the meeting. You may not submit more than 3 papers/abstracts for consideration.
7. The Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship will be given first and full credit as publisher for all papers presented at the Annual Meeting.
